Johnson County Elected Officials Dinner - April 2010

I'm behind on my blogging so I'll start with a fun one.  Last week Erika and I attended the Johnson County Elected Officials dinner which was hosted by the City of Cresson and held at the Motorsport Ranch.  As usual it was a lot of fun and the barbecue dinner catered by Tumbleweed's was excellent!  It was a nice time to chat with others in the county and spend a little time with some fellow council members outside our regular city business for a few laughs.  This event pretty much guaranteed that everyone was going home with some kind of prize and Erika and I ended up with a fun table centerpiece of misc. gardening items and a $10 Subway gift card.   Since most in attendance actually spent money to get elected to a position that pays nothing we all get pretty excited when our raffle number is called.

I used to race motorcycles on the track there at the ranch and I must admit I did look out over one of my favorite corners and long for the days of grinding fairings and knee sliders.  Good times.
